Magic Clipper Ship Science
Welcome to the Magic Clipper Ship!
I am Mrs. Turner, the leader of the science adventures on the Magic Clipper Ship. There is so much to learn from the mountains, beaches, lakes, and piedmont. I hope you are ready to explore the world around you as we continue our science adventures.
My goal is to provide hands-on, authentic, and engaging science lessons that enrich what your child is already learning in their regular classroom. I am eager to collaborate with classroom teachers to spark students' curiosity and excitement toward the field of science!
About Me
I am so excited to be back for a second year at Olive Chapel as the science specials teacher. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I'm a die hard NCSU fan and love western style BBQ. I attended Meredith College multiple times obtaining a K-6 teaching license, BA in mathematics, dual Masters in both ESL and Literacy K-12, as well as a Curriculum and Instruction Specialist certification.
I am married to my best friend, Callaway. We have a wonderful four legged fur baby named Ariel. My husband and I are very active. We enjoy many outdoor activities together - hiking, walking the dog, racing stand up jet skis, snowboarding, and playing tennis. Additionally, I love to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, paint, and draw.
I am very passionate about making learning fun, improving students’ beliefs in themselves, and helping students shine! I hope students enjoy “The Magic Clipper Ship” as much as Mrs. Frizzle’s students enjoyed “The Magic School Bus!”
